Clay Creations (Gr. K-5) fEE: $125
Tuesday, 5 weeks - Feb. 23-Mar. 23-4:00-5:00 p.m. (Google Meets)
Come join the fun as we create colorful, fun sculptures. Using Sculpey clay we will create whimsical characters that will be built during class and then baked in your own oven at home. We will create robots, silly people, furry friends and other colorful, one of a kind characters. We will add googly eyes and silly whiskers to our fun figurines. Let your imagination run wild!! Younger children may need the help of an adult.Supplies needed: 4packs of "Sculpey III Classic Multipack oven Bake clay", 1 pack of “Creatology” Wiggle eyes Assorted-items available at Michaels, Amazon, or in stores.
Fun Funky Fine Arts and Crafts (Gr. K-5) fEE: $125

Come and discoverall sorts of cool and creative ways to express yourself through art .We will briefly discuss inspiring modern master artists to traditionalartists and more. Working with oil pastels, markers, pencil, paint and found objects. We will cut, glue and draw to create beautiful 3D designs, colorful collages and fabulous mixed media projects (most supplies are already in your home). Let your imagination run wild!!! All welcome-Beginnersto Advanced. Supply list will be emailed prior to class.

HABITATS AND RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP

Students will look at the world’s major habitats and understand why certain animals must have that environment. Responsible pet ownership is very closely connected to an animal’s habitat – students will explore this connection.

Who can resist animal babies? This class will teach students about animal babies within the 5 most well-known animal classes of vertebrates including: mammals, amphibians, avian, reptiles and fish. Learn the general guidelines to care for a horse, including basic horse handling, safety, feeding, hoof care and more!

Is your child interested in words? Would you like him or her to practice for the Scripps Spelling Bee and learn new words? Benefits of Spelling Bee Coaching -Students will: Increase their vocabulary; Learn the roots and origins of words; Build character; Increase public speaking skills; And of course, improve their spelling.

SCRATCH Jr. Coding (Gr. K-2 ) FEE: $150
Monday, 4:00-5:00 p.m. (6 sess.) Feb. 22 – Apr. 5 (no class 3/29)
Coding is the new literacy! With Scratch Jr, young children can program their own interactive stories and games. In the process, they learn to solve problems, design projects, and express themselves creatively on the computer. Scratch Jr. uses laptops and colorful blocks with pictures and doesn't require children to know reading.
SCRATCH Coding (Gr. 3-5) FEE: $150
Monday, 5:30-6:30 p.m. (6 sess.) Feb. 22 – Apr. 5 (no class 3/29)
Kids learn to create their own computer games and fun animations with SCRATCH using “drag and drop programing”. SCRATCH, developed by MIT, helps young kids tolearn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively - essential skills for life in the 21st century. We also have unique programthat enable the kidsto Control LEGO robots from SCRATCH! Color coded, intuitive drag and drop block programming, as well as sounds, backdrop images and drawings are used.
CARTOONING (Gr. K-2) FEE: $150
Thursday, 4:00-5:00 p.m. (6 sess.) Feb. 25 – Apr. 8 (no class Apr. 1)
Make your drawings come to Life! Using just a pencil and paper, students will create their own custom characters in a step-by-step manner using basic shapes and guidelines.
CARTOONING (Gr. 3-5) FEE: $150
Thursday, 5:30-6:30 p.m. (6 sess.) Feb. 25 – Apr. 8 (no class Apr. 1)
Grab your pencil and let your imagination fly! Watch how simple shapes can be used to create your favorite cartoon characters. You will be shown the techniques needed so you can create your character from scratch. Enhance your illustration style and add to your tool box of drawing skills from a professional cartoonist and children’s book illustrator.
